Birds perch among bright flowers on this porcelain egg, like a spring garden in full bloom wrapped around one graceful shape. It is a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box, its blossoms and songbirds painted by hand in Limoges, France.
Songbirds in Bloom
The painted scene flows around the curve of the egg so it looks lovely from every side. Birds and flowers have been favorite porcelain motifs for centuries, and they feel especially at home on an egg, the oldest symbol of spring and new life.

Easter Morning Centerpiece
Place it at the center of an Easter table, on a bedside table, or on a windowsill where it can be turned to show a new side each day. It is a pretty present for Mother's Day, a spring wedding shower, or a birdwatcher who loves the first warm mornings of the year.
Turn it slowly in the hand and the whole garden unfolds, one bloom and one bird at a time.
